When we announced the contest for the best onion pastry on the Onion Route, Natalja Rästas brought her delicious pastries for the jury to assess. They were absolutely tasty, and Natalja is now the proud first recipient of the title “Onion Route’s Best Onion Pie Master”.

Präänikutalu (‘the cookie farm’ in Estonian) is situated in Kolkja village, just a stone’s throw away from the pink building of the Peipsimaa Visitor Centre. In the summertime, the cookie farm sells goods from a food truck, while products have to be pre-ordered the rest of the time. It offers wonderfully decorated cookies and other delicacies straight from the oven that day. If you are dead set on ordering the world’s best onion pies or even a festive table, don’t hesitate to contact Natalja in advance.

You can also pre-book a cookie workshop where you learn the basics of decorating cookies or take part in a cookie history lesson. Catering is also available upon request (soup, pastries, samovar tea).

In summer, you can also camp on the site and use the farm’s sauna.
