Aljonushka Buffet

The Aljonushka Buffet opened the gates of its storied sarai (a traditional local shed) back in 2017.

Originally, this sarai had a very different purpose: the grandfather—then the master of the house—built it as an onion-drying barn, and over the years, tons of onions were dried there.

Today, Aljonushka Buffet has grown in popularity thanks to its dishes inspired by various Slavic culinary traditions. Since July 2023, the family has decided to open their “fairy-tale gates” every summer weekend. All the buffet’s recipes for pies and sweets have been passed down through generations, and now everyone has the chance to enjoy truly homemade flavors. The weekend brunches are the perfect way to combine breakfast and lunch, spend time with friends or loved ones, and enjoy delicious food.

Upon request, cakes, pastries, pies, and heartier dishes can be ordered in advance and picked up on-site in Kolkja.
