Alatskivi Castle Christmas Market

On 6 December, the Alatskivi Castle and the historic Coach Stable host a Christmas Market with around 50 vendors. You’ll find a wide selection of handmade gifts — candles, textiles, jewellery, ceramics, knitwear, natural cosmetics and many other beautiful items perfect for Christmas presents. The food section offers baked goods, honey, traditional karask, preserves, homemade kali and a variety of other drinks.

Please note:
– Handicraft vendors are located inside the castle.
– Food vendors are in the Coach Stable next to the castle.
You’ll also find warm food and snacks available to enjoy on the spot.

Concerts

• 11:00 – Kodavere Choir performs on the castle’s balcony

• 12:00 – Students of the Alatskivi School of Arts give a Christmas concert in the Tubin Hall

Horse Carriage Rides

Horse-drawn carriage rides are available in front of the castle for an additional fee.

Castle Restaurant

The castle restaurant is open from 11:00–15:00.
Special offer: a classic Christmas roast and gingerbread–cream cheese cake with marinated berries (25 € for the full menu).
You’re also welcome to stop by simply for a coffee or a glass of Christmas glögi.

Castle Ceramics Studio

In the castle’s cellar level, ceramic artist Tanel works in his studio. Visit to purchase unique handmade ceramics — cups, plates, bowls and more — or take part in a quick hands-on workshop.

Opening Hours

The Christmas Market is open 10:00–15:00.
After the market, enjoy a refreshing walk on the Alatskivi Nature Trail.

For a proper meal, you can choose between the Castle Restaurant, Mõisa Talli Pub and Kivi Tavern — all located in Alatskivi.

On this day, entry to both the castle and the Coach Stable is free!
